Soaring Swine Acres is a specialty grocery shop in Uptown Yucaipa owned by Mary Ruhter, a retired teacher and Southern soul transplanted to California in 1990. All products are produced by Mary and her son, Michael, working side-by-side in a local commercial kitchen.
Description
Our gourmet jams and jellies are 100% natural, with no artificial colors or flavorings. Mary and Michael develop their own recipes, unique flavor combinations that cannot be found elsewhere. Some of our products are based on family recipes, or inspired by Mary’s Mexican family, her childhood in New Orleans, and the Southern California lifestyle the family embraced. Michael was cooking with his dad as a toddler, was able to prepare a family meal by age eleven, and has been developing his own recipes ever since.
