Oct 13, 2025

On September 9, the Yucaipa Valley Chamber of Commerce welcomed the city’s newest retail pack and ship store—Goin’ Postal—with a lively ribbon cutting ceremony. Located in the heart of Yucaipa, Goin’ Postal is set to become a go-to destination for residents and businesses needing reliable shipping and office services. The event drew local business
owners, Chamber members, and community leaders, all eager to celebrate the addition of this essential service to
the area.

Heather Gourlay representing Congressman Jay Obernolte’s office, William Boyd from Senator Rosalie Ochoa-Bogh’s office, Scott Ward of SB County Supervisor Dawn Rowe’s office, City Council Member Judy Woolsey, and Chamber of Commerce Director Mary Ruhter all presented Alexander with certificates of appreciation and membership, welcoming her entrepreneurial spirit to Yucaipa’s growing economy. Council Member Woolsey congratulated Alexander and
expressed her pride in supporting another woman-owned business to the City. Chamber member Matt Dana, co-owner of PayChex Payroll Service, was in attendance, saying “I just wanted to be here to support another Chamber member.” Goin’ Postal offers a comprehensive suite of shipping options through FedEx, UPS, USPS, and DHL, ensuring customers have flexible choices for sending packages locally, nationally, and internationally. Beyond shipping, the store provides office essentials including notary services, faxing, copying, scanning, and private mailboxes with a physical address—ideal for businesses and individuals who need a secure location for package deliveries.

Owner Ashtyn Alexander expressed her excitement for serving Yucaipa, stating, “My business differs from similar businesses in Yucaipa, as I am a one-stop shop. My store’s slogan is ‘Your friendly neighborhood shipping center!’ which is
a value I stand firm in.” Alexander shared that her decision to launch Goin’ Postal in Yucaipa was inspired by the city’s unique sense of community. “Yucaipa embodies a strong sense of community and support that cannot be replicated by other cities,” she said, emphasizing her commitment to providing friendly, personalized service. Alexander’s background includes a degree in Sociology / Psychology and eight years of recent Law Enforcement experience. She said, “This translates to maintaining structure and punctuality in my business, as well as being understanding and attentive to each
customer’s unique needs.”

With the addition of Goin’ Postal to Yucaipa’s thriving business landscape, the community continues to benefit from a diverse range of services and entrepreneurial spirit. As neighbors and local businesses gather to welcome new ventures, the shared commitment to growth and collaboration remains evident, reinforcing Yucaipa’s reputation as a supportive and dynamic place to live, work, and do business.
